"True friends are like jewels, precious and rare. False ones are like autum leaves, found everywhere."
Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
I thought you might find this article from the American College of Sports Medicine interesting; that many athletes post-exercise recovery food is a huge bowl of different kinds of cereal. See link below. I think there is some legitimacy to this.

When did you really get to make a difference for someone else?

By participating as a vocational program volunteer worker at the Gihembe Refugee Camp in Kigali, Rwanda in 2004; giving children hope, love and fulfillment by giving them the fortitude and teaching them to read, write . . . introducing the "not so fortunate" few what many are unable to understand; rebuilding shattered lives. . . giving back . . . life.
Some things to consider when serving wine at your next party. Enjoy!

In recent years, Oregon has clearly established itself as America's Burgundy. Dozens of small producers have developed astonishing vineyards up and down the Willamette Valley, and with the warmer temperatures of recent years, we're seeing a range of brilliant Pinot Noirs from the top wineries. The best kept-secret are these three Pinot Noir’s coming from the Broadley Vineyards. You are reading it first on this blog (say it ain’t so). Shipments will begin in early January:
2006 Broadley Pinot Noir "Shea Vineyard"
Rich, flowery, blackfruit/cassis nose. High percentage of new wood. Bright flavors with fine acid balance. The most Burgundian of the three wines, with lots of flesh but a slightly tart, ripe cherry middle. Wonderful richness and equilibrium arguing for excellent aging potential. Drink now for the explosive primary fruit flavors or age up to 7 years.
2006 Broadley Pinot Noir "Stoller Vineyard"
Ripe red and dark berry scents. Silky and sweet with finely honed, dark berry flavors, A very broad wine with impressive depth and sweetness, but the rocky soil shows through, providing fine balance and vibrancy. Drink now-2012.
2006 Broadley Pinot Noir "Claudia's Choice"
Big, fleshy, spicy notes on the nose, packed around a blackberry/black cherry core. Big, plump, sweet dark cherry and blackberry fruit flavors. Great complexity and structure, with supple tannins and a long finish. Drink now-2010.
Today's quote: "Money isn't life. We can't eat it. Our considerations need to be changed. All we can do is to help raise our goodwill towards human beings, and hope that actions will follow words."
